At Celtic Mist, we believe in creating a body product that is as natural as possible in order to limit the absorption of harsh elements into the body. In fact, our soap can be very beneficial. Most soaps that you buy commercially have had the glycerin chemically removed in order to sell it for use in other applications. Glycerin, a natural moisturizer, is retained in handmade soap so it can help protect against the harsh effects of everyday living.

What is found in 98% of all commercial soaps is tallow or lard, which are the fats of cattle, sheep, horses and pigs. Celtic Mist uses only vegetable oils; there are no animal by-products in our soap. We also include fine essential oils in many of our soaps for the added aromatherapy and skin benefits. Sense of smell is one of the most powerful yet overlooked senses. Scent can invoke a feeling of peace and contentment. What is in our Bath and Body Products?

Cold Processed Soap Information and Ingredients: Our soaps are handmade in very small batches, using all vegetable based oils and good quality essential and fragrance oils. Through the natural process of handmade soapmaking glycerin is created, making each bar very gentle and moisturizing. Each bar contains distilled water, saponified coconut, olive, vegetable and palm oils, fragrance/essential oil, FD&C / oxides for colorant.

Glycerin soap ingredients:  Purified Water , Glycerin, Sodium Stearate, Sorbitol, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLES), Stearic Acid, Lauric Acid, Sodium Chloride.

Milk bath ingredients:  Non fat dry milk, Zea Mays starch,  Fragrance/Essential oil.

Bath salts ingredients:  Sea salt, Magnesium Sulphate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Zea Mays starch, Essential/Fragrance oil.

Lip Balm ingredients:  Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Beeswax, Tocopherol, Flavor oil, Natural Additive (as sweetner).
